This Ministry
Every word on these pages is born from a single conviction, God’s Word is true, and it changes lives. The Bible is not a distant book for another time. It is living, active, and written for you, here and now.
I write to help you see the God who sees you. To remind you that His grace is not fragile, His promises do not expire, and His mercy is greater than your worst day. Whether you are weary from the road, thirsty for hope, or longing to grow deeper in Christ, my prayer is that what you find here will point you to Him, not to me.
The truths shared here are not opinion pieces or passing thoughts. They are rooted in the unchanging Word of God. Scripture is our compass, Christ is our message, and the glory of God is our goal.
You will find devotionals, Bible studies, and reflections that aim to both comfort the hurting and challenge the complacent. The tone is personal, because God is personal. The content is serious, because eternity is serious. And the invitation is open, come and see the goodness of the Lord.
If your heart needs a reminder today, remember this: The same God who spoke light into the darkness can speak hope into your life. You are loved, you are known, and you are called to walk with Him.
God’s story is one of love and redemption. The message that most clearly shows this redemptive love is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus (1 John 3:16). Paul says this message is of “first importance” (1 Corinthians 15:3). As God reveals his nature through the stories of the Bible, the following teachings emerge as the central core doctrines.
Ian Carlson came to know Christ as his Savior back in 2001. He was at death’s door and Christ saved him from certain death. He’s been married to his wife, Denise Carlson for 20 years and has 2 kids, Chloe & Camrin Carlson and a grandchild, Levi Carlson.

His favorite activities are studying God’s Word and spending time with his family. He loves being involved in prison ministry, by encouraging men that are behind bars to live for Christ. He holds an MBA in business with a focus on leadership. He’s put his doctorate in divinity on hold until God opens that door later in the future. He is a Staff Writer for GotQuestions.org, and He works as a Quality Engineer out of McHenry County, IL.
Favorite Quote, “One of the most important things you’ll ever learn to do in your life is to respond to the Word of God.”
